Diners have a way of bringing people together. People from all walks of life, who may never cross paths otherwise, end up sitting just a few feet apart. United by the desire for a waffle in the dead of night.

Over the course of four nights, between midnight and 4 am, I sat outside Metro Diner and photographed the people who stopped in. Capturing the life that stirs while the rest of the city sleeps.
